Outrage? Wow! Clearly they didn’t pay much attention in civics and history classes. The USA is a civil democracy with the Constitution establishing the ground rules. Things change-often for the good. Not long ago, the Bible was used to justify racial segregation, denial if the vote for women, and slavery. Until fundamentalists give up pork, and poyiblend fabrics I just don’t want to hear their bellyaching any more!

These people only believe that freedom of religion applies to those who believe the same way they do. The fact is that many religious groups, including Christian churches and organizations support marriage equality. Where marriage equality is banned by law, these groups are prevented from acting in accord with their beliefs and teachings. The time has come to ignore the religious right (which has a long record of being wrong on issues such as slavery, women’s rights, segregation, rights of religious minorities, LGBT people, workers’ rights....

I’m surprised to hear that right-wing Christians believe in the law of gravity. I thought they would to defy it so they can fly up to Heaven or whatever planet they came from.
