The sheer durability of Janice Dickinson should come as no surprise. Like a cat with nine lives her celebrity has evolved from international recognition as the self-proclaimed World’s First Supermodel - having graced every fashion magazine during a time when being a model mattered - to a media mogul readily capitalizing on the advent of reality television. Similar to Glenn Close’s character in the film "Fatal Attraction," Janice Dickinson simply will not be ignored.

So why even try to avoid her tantalizing whims? Over the last several years Dickinson has reinserted herself as a mainstay of club culture emerging as a celebrity DJ and a fixture of the gay scene. She positioned herself as a headliner - admirably no longer an unwitting tabloid headline - as a recurring draw for Brandon Voss and Tony Fornabaio of FV Events who produce the Friday night event Rockit. To kick-off their 3rd anniversary properly, Janice returned to the roost for Rockit’s bash at it’s new home on 42nd Street at the XL mega-club.

"XL is magic," she exclaimed. "I’m surrounded by my friends." Having over the last several decades infamously impacted club-culture in some way, shape or form, Dickinson is showing no signs of slowing down. "And why should I?" she says. "It’s a release."

As such she’s been given the keys to the kingdom. Janice Dickinson will be taking over the XL Cabaret stage on Monday, April 23rd for a special one-night only and uncensored one-woman show...or more appropriately said: a "more than enough woman" show. It’s a personal look into a life all of her own design.

"I’m just going to speak to my friends," Dickinson revealed of what she has in store for her audience on Monday night. "It’s such a warm enigmatic vibe (at XL), but I was born on a stage." Along with some much promised raunchy dancing, Janice will prove relentlessly anecdotal and reveal a tale or two of her unbelievable life. "It’s all about the growth and experience, the magic of what I’ve been through - my life is amazing."

It’s also one that Dickinson has bared on her sleeve, and fiercely approached. "Confidence," she says, has been the secret of her success. The obstacles she faced and personal battles have all led her to the present and she is primed to share it in a live, cabaret format at this very moment. "I just feel so comfortable about being intertwined with my gay community." And Janice promises that nothing is off the table, opening the floor up to her fans for a special Q&A opportunity. "Bring it! I’m really looking forward to a marvelous, electric night at XL."

A Night with Janice Dickinson...Uncensored is happening on Monday, April 23 at the XL Cabaret with special guest host Shequida. Showtime is set for 9pm, seating is first come, first serve and begins at 8pm. Advanced tickets are available at www.xlcabaret.com.
