Wrath Of The Titans
"Wrath Of The Titans" proves mortal after all.
As a follow up to the 2010 film "Clash Of The Titans," a remake of the original, John Liebesman directs the star studded "Wrath Of The Titans." Sam Worthington joins master actors, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson, and Ralph Fiennes for another action packed ancient adventure as Gods and Demigods battling it out in ancient Greece.
An interesting fact is that the back of the Blu-ray box does not have a standard written description complete with actors names and a brief synopsis. This critic wonders if the lack of back cover description speaks louder than words. The story is very forgettable and, although entertaining, does not really do justice to the thousands of years these characters have been alive.
The special features are minimal but thorough giving the viewer the "Maximum Movie Mode" where little behind the scenes "points of focus" pop up during play and show how certain scenes were made. With interviews from all of the key cast and filmmakers, to university professors of ancient myth, the points of focus cover all aspects and stages of the filmmaking process. For any film nerds out there, the picture in picture storyboard comparisons are exactly what anyone would want out of a Blu-ray special feature. Unfortunately the only other special features are about three deleted scenes. So although the points of focus go in depth, they are the bulk of the extra viewing material.
If you have a soft spot for the classics and ancient mythology, love CGI, or happen to be a child reading this, then you will undoubtedly enjoy "Wrath Of The Titans."
