Not content with just having given the world its "Pretty Woman," director Garry Marshall has focused on turning more-than Hallmark holidays (i.e. Valentine’s Day) into big ensemble romantic comedies that actually are worth the price of the disc. His latest holiday-gone-Hollywood is that other most anticipated day on the calendar "New Year’s Eve."

Fortunately with this combo-pack (single disc Blu-ray and DVD in one) not only do you have your pick of who you’ll want to smooch once the ball drops -┬áthe cast is amazing - but also once you’ve recovered from the hangover, you’ll have no regrets. Marshall’s signature touches are all-over this gem which stars so many favorites, from Halle Berry, Sofia Vergara to Jon Bon Jovi and more, to a relentless round of cameos.

Maybe it’s the most romantic of romantic flicks, but as each individual life plays out on New Year’s Eve, inevitably revealing how intertwined we all really are, the film’s overall message of hope is one universal lesson we can use from time to time. "New Year’s Eve" easily inspires you to believe that there’s some good in pure escapism.

One particular bonus feature on the disc gives a glimpse behind the curtain and the magical allure of the real New York City Times Square experience, and how it was the perfect inspiration for this rom-com. Another feature takes us into the studio with rocker Jon Bon Jovi and Lea Michele, from "Glee" as they collaborate for the film’s music. This is one New Year’s Eve worth remembering and reliving again and again.
