Heat up your summer even more by reading "Middle Men: Gay Erotic Threesomes," edited by Shane Allison. Allison brings together a collection of eighteen erotic short stories written by eighteen different authors.

The common thread that ties the stories together is that they are hardcore erotic tales that involve gay threesomes or moresomes. With titles such as "Escorts," "Dogging It," "The One in the Middle," and my personal favorite "Balls," "Middle Men" quickly transports readers into a world of ménage à trois.

Perhaps if you’re looking for character development, plotlines with twits and turns, "Fifty Shades of Grey" is your cup of tea. If you read "Fifty Shades of Grey" wishing it was three men and thought "Get to the sex already!" This is your book!

By no means does "Middle Men" offer substantial plotlines or character development, but it does offer sex a la Britney Spears’ song "3". "Middle Men" is filthy, sexy, hardcore porn in short story format.

On average, the stories are only 5 pages long. The authors set the scenes very quickly and introduce the plotlines without long drawn out dialogues and endless descriptions of scenery.

Essentially all eighteen stories can be summed up in the following sentence: Boy meets boys, boy has sex with boys. Despite having a common theme, the settings and situations of the encounters are different. For example, the first story is an erotic encounter at a rest stop involving a traveling gay man and two Native American "straight" cousins. Another story describes an orgy of two lovers who prefer to be bottomed at the same time on decadent bed sheets. There is even a story about sexy times with a virgin priest.

"Middle Men" offers readers presumably fictional (all the characters are described as gorgeous with chiseled muscles, perfect penises, and cute faces) accounts of threesomes. At times the language can be a little cheeky (think 1970s porn featuring a bored housewife and pizza delivery guy) but that is what makes "Middle Men" a hot and fun summer read. For those who want to enjoy the accounts of man on men but don’t want to broadcast it to the world, "Middle Men" is available on e-readers.

It may take two to tango, but three makes a party.
