The Witches Of East End - Season One

Kitty Drexel READ TIME: 1 MIN.

Lifetime's "Witches of East End" can be described as a slightly sexier, edgier reboot of the late 90's cult classic "Charmed" (WB Network). It has similar plotlines, characters (post Shannen Doherty) and is equally as addicting. "Witches of East End" features many daytime TV actors from shows such as "Beauty and the Beast," "CSI," "Grey's Anatomy" and more. "Buffy" fans will be excited to note that library assistant Hudson Rafferty is played by Tom Lenk. Major differences between the shows include occasional swearing and the inclusion of people of color in major and minor roles.

The adult daughters of an immortal family of lady witches realize their talents when an evil shape-shifter enters their lives. Ingrid (Rachel Boston) and Freya (Jenna Dewan-Tatum) learn that their mother, Joanna Beauchamp (Julia Ormond), and aunt, Wendy Beauchamp (Mdchen Amick) have been keeping the family secret from them their entire lives. Amidst romance, day jobs and everyday life with the extremely attractive townspeople from East End, NY, the women balance keeping their new magic powers and righting wrongs. This show is based on the book series by Melissa de la Cruz.

Special features include the short "Falling Under Their Spell," deleted scenes, a gag reel, and adorable cat blooper reel featuring the fuzzier members of the cast.
